Man Arrested After Gay Sex Assault in LA Fitness

Very interesting read. The gay locker room is a jungle of inappropriate behavior. I will let this issue rest for now, because I could write a very large girthy book on the subject.

A 29-year-old man was arrested Friday evening in the locker room of gay-popular LA Fitness in Ansley Mall for allegedly masturbating and humping a gym-goer in the bathroom.

Edwin Troy Causey (top photo) was arrested in the locker room and charged with public indecency and simple battery. He remains in the Fulton County Jail on $1,500 bond, according to jail records.

Charlie Stadtlander (second photo), an LGBT activist and former candidate for the Atlanta City Council and Board of Education, said he spotted Causey in the restroom of the gym when he entered at the end of his workout a little after 7 p.m. on Friday. He noticed some movement by Causey in his peripheral vision and turned to find him allegedly masturbating, Stadtlander says. Continue reading

Be Smart About Your Coffee and Use Caffeine to Power Your Workout

No truer words have ever been spoken. Some folks (me) live, breath and sleep with coffee. No joke sleep. I have heard of several individuals you can drink coffee and go right to sleep. Coffee when used correctly can be a powerful life tool. It shouldn’t be your end all to hunger, thirst, mood altering and more.

Everyone gets that feeling of lethargy during the day where they just can’t seem to muster enough energy to focus on the tasks at hand. The first inclination is to pump your body with an excess amount of caffeine to get you motivated. But if you do that hours before a workout, however, you may be hurting your performance and endurance. Continue reading

When Are You Too Sick to Workout ?

Personally, whenever there is any sign that I may be getting sick or am sick, I don’t workout, and become a big lazy sloth.  My better half does just the opposite and goes to the gym to work through it, and it has been an on-going debate between us. So, what the real answer? Should you go to the gym when you have a cold? Sweat it out as ‘they’ say?

There’s a reason you won’t find a clause entitled “in sickness and in health” in your gym membership contract. If you’re feeling under the weather, sometimes working out will do more harm than good. But when is it acceptable to cheat on your fitness routine with a bowl of chicken noodle soup in your pajamas? We turned to Dr. Ted Epperly, M.D., Program Director and CEO of the Family Medicine Residency of Idaho, for the answer. Here’s how to gauge if you should hit the weights or hit the sack.

Are your symptoms above your neck?

Think: Sneezing, runny nose, scratchy throat

The culprit that left you all boogery? Most likely the common cold. In this case, go ahead and lace up your sneakers, says Dr. Epperly. It could actually help you recover faster. An Appalachian State study found that people who performed moderate-intensity exercises—like walking—while they had a cold slashed their sick times by as much as half compared to those that didn’t exercise. Gay Men’s Body Image: Near 50 Percent Would Sacrifice 1 Year Of Their Lives For The Perfect Body, Survey Finds

One part me says, “Are you kidding me?” This is exactly what I think is wrong  with the minds of a majority of gay me, willing to die for their physical appearance and putting their bodies as their number one priority. The other part of thinks, “One year, I’d only loose one year?”

Exactly how far would you go for cast-iron pecs or the perfect six-pack?

Indeed, gay men have been stereotypically cast as gym bunnies by popular culture for some time, but a new British poll has now revealed a slightly more disturbing fact about that population’s fractured relationship with body image. A study commissioned by the Central YMCA, the Succeed Foundation and the University of the West of England’s (UWE) Centre for Appearance Research in Bristol found that48 percent of gay male respondents would sacrifice a year or more of their lives in exchange for a perfect body. Perhaps even more onerous: researchers also found that 10 percent of those men would agree to die more than 11 years earlier if they could have their ideal body right now, according to Pink News.
